Tom is the Clinical Director of Oxford CBT. He set up Oxford CBT in 2012 in response to an increasing demand for fast access to quality therapy at times which suited people’s busy lives. He has professional qualifications in both Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Occupational Therapy and has a Bachelors degree in Business. With many years experience of using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Tom has worked in both the NHS and private sector to help adults and children to overcome a range of difficulties. Tom is also an accredited Mindfulness teacher, teaching 8 week mindfulness courses locally, in businesses and in schools. And has more recently completed training in Schema Therapy to help people to understand and overcome unhelpful habits which have developed in response to unmet childhood needs. This can include self harm, substance misuse and other ways of avoiding uncomfortable emotions.
